Presentation of the Asbestos Register
All of our asbestos registers are presented to the client in a clear, comprehensible, readily accessible and usable form and in the manner that was agreed. For all but the simpliest of asbestos surveys, a computer database of a suitable form is very useful, as it will enable the client to keep records up to date and can be easily accessed by other means, i.e. intranet, internet with unique client login via this website. Our database can also record all remedial and asbestos removal work and can also prompt the client when to carryout re-inspections and record future results. Our database also features digital photographs and asbestos location plans. We offer bespoke packages to suit our clients specific needs when compiling there asbestos register.
Requirements of the asbestos register
MDHS 100 gives information on what the final report, depending on the type of survey undertaken, should contain. It requires the following sections:
• general site and survey information;
• survey report;
• bulk analysis report;
• material assessment report
If the client has commissioned assistance with the management plan it will also contain sections covering:
• risk management report;
• management plan;
• review and update section;
General site and survey information will include:
• the name and address of the organisation who conducted the survey;
• the name and address of the client who commissioned the survey;
• the name and address of the premises surveyed,
• the date(s) that the survey took place;
• the date the report was issued;
• the purpose, aims and objectives of the survey or a summary of the clients instructions;
• a description of the buildings and areas included in the survey;
• a description of any buildings and areas specifically excluded from the survey;
• the survey method used on the survey (e.g. MDHS 100 or other documented methods);
• any deviations or variations taken from the method;
• the type of register produced (management or re-furbishment/demolition survey) and any variations from this;
• any exclusions or inaccessible areas agreed with the client;
